Dear resident of Indische Buurt,
Do you want to share your stories and experiences about how you use and perceive public spaces in the neighbourhood? I am a master student at the University of Amsterdam, and I am looking for participants in an interview. I am conducting research for my thesis focusing on how various people feel about, use and interact in public space (streets, squares, parks...) in their neighbourhood. You don't have to be an active user of public space in order to participate; I would also like to know reasons for not using public space.
In order to participate, you should be:
-a resident of Indische Buurt
-able to speak English
-The interview will take about 20 mins (up to one hour, depending on your answers and stories you share).
-I am especially looking for people with Moroccan or Turkish background, but all participants over 15 years old are welcomed.
-The interviews will be recorded, but the transcriptions will be deleted when they are no longer needed for the research.
-The information in the final work will be anonymous and non-identifiable.
-The interviews will be preferably held during this and next week (11.-22.4.), at a time suitable for you.
-If possible, the interviews will take place at the interviewee's home (but we can also agree on another place).
-Withdrawal from participation is possible also during the interview.
-The research is not sponsored by anyone and it is part of my studies.
Please contact me by email (below) if you are interested in taking part in the research. All help will be highly appreciated!
