Heterotropics takes as a starting point the names of the Indische Buurt and invites all the local residents to a journey across imagined spaces. What are the names of our streets telling us? Are they projecting our minds to tropical islands? Are they traces of colonial history? Through different artistic interventions, the event reflects upon the relathionship between history and present, as well as between imagination and reality.
