Wereldmuziek in de wijk - Marynka Nicolai-Krylova

woensdag 12 juni 2019 , 19:30 - 20:30 uur

Gast artiest:

Marynka Nicolai-Krylova

Marynka is born and raised in Moscow, Russia. Marynka studied music composition, production and conducting at Moscow Conservatorium and Utrecht Conservatorium. Studied acting and singing at GITIS, Moscow and Amsterdam University of Arts. She did work within experimental pop and light classical music.
She has been a real pioneer as can be noticed in her obsession with creating music through intuitive writing and performance. Her artistic labeling lists a musician, a composer, an actress, a teacher, and an inspirer. Her music is filled with admiration of the moment. It can be described as improvisations flowing through her own experiences, senses and observations of life. Since recently Marynka is developing an original concept of Instant Music, which allows her to smoothly enter the realm of improvisation as it is understood in Indian Classical music. Marynka’s music is filled with admiration of the moment so even the time itself enjoys it’s flow. By her meditative playing the listeners immerse themselves into deep emotional state, freeing their souls from dictate of the intellect.
Marynka’s album of solo piano pieces under the title “Red Moon” is recorded and is due for release in 2019. The material of this album is the musical basis for her solo show. The simplest way to stage her show is a lie-down concert to strenghten the meditative qualities of the music.
